Ron Ron Ron
This may be of interest to some of you Guys and Gals...... We've already seen TouchCab for ECoS (and soon for Lenz). Here is some information about iRoc, an app for driving trains and controlling layouts via an iPhone, or iPod Touch and the RocRail software suite. iRoc introduction. There's also an iPad app under development. There's also an Android version called andRoc , but as the Android market is rather fragmented and chaotic, I imagine updating on different versions may raise a number of issues. It seems increasingly likely that this is the way forward for DCC control, rather than being tied down to bespoke handsets and their inherent limitations. neal
I foresee my wife's HTC going 'missing'. Amazed that Rocrail doesn't get more coverage on this site. N
railwaymouse
This looks very nice. I've just downloaded the client app and I'm impressed with the interface. It's not flashy, but very usable. I'm playing with the app with the built in demo server. Switching between locos and setting up consists is the easiest I've found on any controller. I'll try and get a PC set up with the server in the next fortnight and see how easy the control and server end is to configure, but looking at the documentation that Ron Ron Ron has linked to above I have high hopes.
