37023
Howdo all basically I have purchased a DCKITS class 120 I would just like to know if chipping either of these bogies is possible? Failing this I might half to butcher a RTR chassis Thanks all in advance chris

JZ
No more difficult than any non-socket loco. I would advise putting extra pick-ups on the unpowered bogie. Hide the wires under the seats. I've done two so far, a 2H and a GRC&W MPV. Not tried a 'spud' but many say the Black Beetle is the better of the two.
RMweb Gold kipford Posted November 3, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 3, 2010 As JZ says Black Beetles run far better than Tenshodo, I only use BB these days. I have chipped both though, BB using the Model Rail article above. The spud is similar and I posted it on the old RMweb in response to a similar question: Clicky Regards Dave
corax67
I was about to dig out the MR article again & scan it then realised cornerman had linked to an old post with my scan in it - didn't realise it was that long ago though.
