Talltim
I quite fancy an ex Detroit Edison Guilford SD40 with patched paint. MEC 600 by ST_614, on Flickr I know that these were very late model SD40s, just before the SD40-2s Can anyone recommend which model would make a good starting point for reproducing one of these? Glorious NSE
Would have thought the Athearn ready-to-roll SD40, I think they have done DEEX as a scheme - if so it may well have the details (like that cool porch brakewheel) to match, I think Athearn has that as an option. IIRC Kato has only done the more common one with the nose ratchet.
Talltim
I can't find mention of an RTR DEEx SD40, Atlas do the GE U30Cs I spose I just need to compare pics with the available models, see which have the right grill and details combos etc.
