RMweb Premium 7013 Posted November 14, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 14, 2010 I am in the late stages of constructing my CIWL night sleepr coach. I prepared the brass and undercoated it 2/3 coats. I have masked the sides off and sprayed the roof with a couple of coats of Humbrol Acrylic silver and left to dry. My next job will be to spray the coach sides with precision paints enamel. My question is how should I mask the silver roof to paint the sides? My worry is that if I use commercially available masking tape (or the tape I have). it may pull the Acrylic paint off the roof. Is there a product available that I can use to mask the roof? I have used a tiny roll of tape I had which I believe is not made any longer which I used on enamel to mask while I was painting boiler bands.
