russellwar
Thinking of ordering some spray cans to collect on my next visit to the uk as I am going with the car. Any experiences good or bad and does anyone know which warning panel yellow they supply? Thanks Russell
Ceptic
As far as I know, they're cellulose, and, as such, might attack / craze some plastics. OK on resin & metal. Being JLTRT, I would guess the colours' match are as close as you can get. I've been meaning to try their BR(S) Green, but haven't, yet, got around to it.. I take it you've had a look thro' their website / gallery ? http://www.justliket...uk/gallery.html If the colours shown are JLTRT's, then, they look pretty good to me. Mike G
I don't think cellulose will attack plastic if a primer is used first...at least it hasn't done so far on all my RTR upgrades. regards Mike
Ceptic
I don't think cellulose will attack plastic if a primer is used first...at least it hasn't done so far on all my RTR upgrades. regards Mike Thanks for pointing that out, Mike . I take it, you mean using JLTRT's PWSA44 Plastic etch primer ?, or Halfords' equivalent ? Cheers.
Mike G
Yep, never used Mr Watermans' best brew, but Halfords primer warmed in water has always done a fine job to date. I also tried this stuff: http://www.finescale.org.uk/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=65#paints This gave a very good finish, but note the price! best Mike
GRUNFOS
Hi This might seem like a simple question, do you use thier plastic primer?
RMweb Gold Barry Ten Posted November 21, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 21, 2010 I used JLTRT brunswick green over bog-standard primer and found it to be excellent.
