johnw1 Posted November 28, 2010 Share Posted November 28, 2010 Extracts from Modern Railways and The Railway Observer Locomotives Withdrawn 1012/27, 03018/98, 03153/56/66/69/74, 08009, 33041 Locomotives Stored: 20038, 24086, 24125, 40111/89/90 Locomotives Reinstated from Store 20016, 24106 Locomotives Modified Dual Brake Fitted: 08841/59, 08952, 20035, 31144, 37001/30, 45034/40, 47124/36 With the mass storage and withdrawal of class 24 locomotives Inverness has gained its first allocation of class 25 locomotives with 25030/31/92/93/96 being transferred during the month. 33041 was withdrawn following a head on collision with 4SUB EMU 4704 at Bricklayers Arms Junction on the 11th September 1975. On the 6th November 1975 33016 worked 6M52, 03:50 Fawley – Longport (Stoke) throughout and returned with 6O58, Longport – Fawley. Worcester – The number of class 08 duties has been reduced from four to three and the station pilot is now an air braked duty following the introduction of air braked stock on Paddington – Worcester services. Thanks for taking the trouble to reproduce this John, reading it I can almost hear the Bay City Rollers, who knows - maybe a musical revolution awaits us in '76, but I doubt the summer will be as good!
