Mod5
Only saw him on Eggheads last week. They were discussing his now famous from the Falklands war "I counted them all out and I counted them all back in again". As they were under severe reporting restrictions it was the only way that he could convey that none had gone missing. No age at all really.
coachmann
ITV gave their Falklands reporter a key job afterwards making out he was the main reporter. For those of us with sons in the conflict, it was the BBC's Brian Hanrahan we turned to for realistic news. No jingoism, just plain speaking. He suited the moment. Saddened to hear of is passing. Peter Kazmierczak
So sad to hear of the passing of a true journalist and correspondent. One who touched the lives of many with his eloquence and quest for the truth.
