7mm Diesel Depot

Hi All.

 

Looking to build a 7mm Modern(ish) BR Diesel Depot - would like to know if anyone produces a kit of a modern diesel shed or can anyone recommend suitable products to use for walls etc etc.

 

Would like to base it on the Peco OO gauge Diesel Shed.

 

Any help greatley appreciated.

Hi Bob,

I'm in the process of building such a depot at the moment - its documented on here see http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php/topic/18662-clifford-road-tmd/page__st__58. I did have a quick (although not exhaustive) look around the various websites and couldn't come up with a suitable building (although I was looking for a single track shed).

 

I posted a query on here about how to construct a concrete pad (http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php/topic/25550-concrete-pad/), which brought a reply from Pete Harvey explaining how he'd built his depot building out of foamboard and then clad it in steel sheeting or brick plasticard. I'm in the process of doing the same now .... having just completed a basic fuelling shed (http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php/topic/18662-clifford-road-tmd/page__pid__293027__st__125#entry291953) im now doing the servicing shed.

 

.... so those two posts may help if you if you can't find anything and decide to go it alone! Feel free to ask - if I can help i will (although i'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination!)

Hi All.

 

For anyone Interested - I have found a good supply of Modern type Cladding in Plastic Card form in both 4mm & 7mm scale - Can be obtained from South Eastern Finecast at Forest Row.
