Arpleymodeller
Hi I wanted to ask does any manufacturer of small cast details offer multiple working sockets for the Hornby class 56? My model of 56003 has one missing on one of its cabs and I am eager to find a replacement as it ruins the finish of the rest of the model. James
In the past I've used a Heljan socket and a 'plug' from part of the MJT high level jumper cables combined with wire. If you look at the model of 56 031 here, you can see the result.

James
If you have any Class 47 details you'll find them in there - otherwise maybe worth giving Howes a ring - that's where mine have come from previously. Failing that Hurst Models do a pack of Class 47 MW sockets - although a different system, they're as near as we need them to be - this is true of the Heljan socket too. The MJT bits are available from Dart Castings.
