re sounding a LokSound decoder

Hi Chris

I believe there are sound files that can be downloaded from loksound ESU web page but I think you also need a piece of kit called a lokprogrammer - which isnt cheap.

If you want to have one or two chips re programmed, reblown whatever the accepted terminology is then there are a few options - for UK sound.

Howes Model Railways , South West Digital, Olivias Model Railways, Keytes of Essex Model Railways and Digitrains - all cater for dcc sound and have various projects that you can choose to have programmed on to your existing chip for a fee of about £15 I recall.

I have used both Howes and Keytes and been very pleased - South West Digital I believe do a lot of work with Bachmann for their RTR dcc sound range - if you have a look in the dcc sound forum area Im sure you will find examples of all their work.

Hope this helps a bit

Chris
