Cowlairs
Good evening chaps, i've recently purchased a Heljan 26 (041 in RF Grey), and was wondering what is the safest method for removing the numbers, Railfreight branding and the Scotty Dog, as I presume the printing's a bit different to the usual ones utilised by Bachmann and Hornby? Guest 40-something
Hi Alex I use T-Cut with cotton buds, lightly rubbing until the transfer disappears, have to be very careful though as Heljans paint comes away easy too -although I find Railmatch paints to be a good match (Green and Blue at least!) Hope this helps Joe
RBE
I dont like to use any solvents on these as the paint comes away so fast. I always use very fine 1200 grit wet and dry and give it a gentle rub just on the area that needs removing. Cheers Cav
Cowlairs
Thanks guys, gave it a try with a little tab of T-cut on the numbers and it worked a treat will probs use Wet and Dry in the future though.
