noiseboy72
I did not intend to buy a camera when I walked into Asda today, but left with a nice little mid sized compact. The GEC X5 looks like a previous genration Fuji and had average reviews when sold at £120. For £77 it is a great second camera. The lens is fairly good, extending to 15x. The sweep panoramic, portait and smile modes are good as well, but the best bit is the full manual modes, with control over aperture, ISO, exposure etc. You also get both EVF and screen plus decent 20M flash. Certainly worth a look for the price of a tank of petrol...
noiseboy72
I thought I should post a few pics, plus more info on it... 14MP 15 x optical, 5.7x digital zoom Aperture & Shutter priority modes 10 modes on the selector plus a dozen scene settings. Pics... I have included a selection showing the lens range, flash quality, long exposure etc. [attachment=82064:GEDC0056.JPG]

noiseboy72
Trying to figure out how the number 25 to Arnold (Nottingham City Transport) finished up on the outskirts of London............ It got very lost.... I also have a young family who like to buy me things for my layout. There is also a Tardis, at least 3 phone boxes and models of every car we have had in the last few years! Regarding white balance, it has auto, then 6 or 7 presets for sunlight, tungsten, flourescent etc.
