Poor Old Bruce
.......Valley has an interesting 'turning triangle' arrangement. That was put in to allow the preserved old-fashioned 'Fire and Water' machines to point in the proper direction for the return journey (cheaper to install and maintain than a turntable). The site at Valley was simply a convenient place to put it.
Jon Gwinnett
I'd guess that if a transfer was taking place at the time you paid it a visit, a quick chat with any police officers on site would give a quite yes/no as to wether or not they're happy Tried this at Torness recently. Sent on my way very quickly with no ceremony. Don't blame 'em really. Anyway easy enough to look on google.
