cpbell
Hi all. I didn't find this carefully-hidden introductions sub-board until after I posted my first question, so I'm doing things the wrong way around (nothing unusual there) I'd been messing around in 00 on and off since childhood (1980s) but got into serious modelling around 10-11 years back. I model BR Eastern Region blue diesel-early Sectorisation period, my dad models post-war LNER, and his best mate, who I've known all my life (and who was responsible for tempting me back to the hobby) is a long-time modeller of the ex-GER and M&GN lines of East Anglia (our local area). What he doesn't know about local railway history isn't worth knowing. Anyway, just thought I'd say hi. Chris.
Ben Alder
Don't worry, its not compulsory to say hello- I've still not got round to it . Sounds like you've got a good backing to the hobby, and here is full of inspiration and help, not to mention the drain on modelling time. Enjoy, as they say. trisonic
Welcome! I love the old GER lines in East Anglia. I was brought up next to the mainlines at Shenfield. Best, Pete.
cpbell
Thanks chaps! I have to admit that my knowledge is non-existent compared to his, but I do have the edge on "modern image" (well, '70s and '80s anyway).
