Jens Vesterdahl
Hello all. On the weekend of February 19-20th 2011, three Danish gauge 1 clubs met to assemble the to date largest gauge 1 layout in the country. The arrangement was held in a sports arena rented for the occasion. It was a driver's weekend and as such closed to the public, but we shot some videos that maybe you'd like to see. (Switch to 720p HD format if you have the connection for it) Recorded by yours truly: Recorded by a friend: The very intelligently looking gentleman kneeling in the opening scene of the latter video is me, shooting a scene that did not make it into my own video. When I looked up, there were no less than six people standing in line, shooting the coal train exiting from the station - exactly like at a photo drivepast in the real world ... But you know - that BR50 really is something else. Three clubs attended the arrangement, but due to logistics issues, my club did not bring a layout - only rolling stock, so the two ovals are from the same club. As you can see, there is room to spare in the arena, and major extensions to the joint layout are already being considered for a 2013 event. Guest dilbert
Most impressed seeing the traverser in operation in the first clip - that traverser is an excellent piece of workmanship... dilbert
