johna
Folks What's the best way to make Pikestuff's HO single road engine shed more suitable for a British oo gauge layout. Should I add a brick base (How high should I make it?) and/or replace the roof.? Many Thanks Johna
kevblokey
Whether or not to add a brick base comes down to individual choice, using just the height of the side panels, it will be tall enough to accommodate OO gauge locos, the brick basing would look more pleasing, but is not essential. Door height wise, you're fine, whilst these kits are to HO, bear in mind the American loading gauge is that much bigger, therefore they cancel each other out, so to speak. The problem is one of length, modern diesels 60s, 66s 70s will stick out the end, if this is a problem to you, maybe an extension pack will be needed.
