Earl Bathurst
Hi Silly question i am building my G scale garden railway on boards so is to a level. How successful would it be to run a line of 00 gauge track along side, i have to room to add that track but what are the implecations of running 00 outside. (Except size difference) Thanks

jazz
Hi About 30 years ago I ran a large TT (3mm) scale railway in the garden. No problems at all. Just bear in mind that wind will easily topple the smaller gauges. Also any debris on the track will derail the stock where the large scale would not be too bothered about the odd small leaf or two. I gave the track a good clean before each running sesssion.
Earl Bathurst
Thanks. There aint much info about putting smaller scales outside. Would be great to run a 00 gauge track next to my g scale track.
