Gordon A
Can any one point me in the direction of a definitive article or book that explains the GWR colour light system used at Bristol T.M. and Paddington. As an example I understand the main single lens signals, but what were the small two aspect signals seen on small brackets off the main post used for? Many thanks Gordon A Bristol
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted June 11, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 11, 2011 The smaller signals - which varied in detail between the various installations were shunting or subsidiary signals (depending on their exact position) and were used for those sort of movements in just the same way as the various semaphore equivalents.
