Tim V
Twas a good day, I managed to find the Allerford boat lift, but because this is a railway discussion group, rather than a canal discussion group, I won't post any photos of the lift. Suffice to say there was more to see than I thought there would be. And the regular pub attenders were not aware that the canal actually ran through the pub car park! Shame on you for your lack of Industrial Archaeology knowledge. The only down side to the day was the dash through the rain to the car park when we got back to BL! Pugsley
Likewise, another thanks for the good company from me. I had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, and even managed to miss the worst of the rain at BL by taking cover behind a building!
