My film of yesterday’s Shuttleworth Evening Air Display and LAA Party in the Park is now available on YouTube. The film starts with a few minutes of static shots of the aeroplanes in the hangars which includes the new Hawker Cygnet G-EBJI. There are, in addition, a few shots of surface transport including the traction engine, a steam car and an elderly Peugeot.

The air display opened at around 6pm after a dreadful thunderstorm. Two Pitts Specials are featured in their synchronised display as is the Tomtit and Tiger Moth. For me, the highlight was the display of the Kirby Kite, beautifully flown in the setting sun after which came the Hurricane, in failing, but dramatic light, the Storch and the Gladiator. The last sequence is of the Hurricane landing.

I hope everyone enjoys it!

Regards

Thanks for sharing that David; you really do produce some interesting videos.

I haven't been to one of their midsummer evenings since the late 80s but should really do so. 1987 was a beautiful evening, picnic weather and the Bleriot and Boxkite were out to play with barely a breath of wind. Happy days.
