RMweb Premium M.I.B Posted June 24, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 24, 2011 Engineer's (blue/grey) bricks - what colour number for Revell or Humbrol please? I know that Pecision Paints do the right shade, but no-one aanywhere near here sells PP, and the PnP on one pot makes it a little expensive. In reality, most bricks are a different shade, or even in some cases two shades in one brick. Same with Engineers' bricks. So if there is a close Humbrol or Revell, I am going to be mixing a different shade for every odd brick. Thanks in advance.
Karhedron
Humbrol 77 matt Navy blue is a good match for engineers bricks. As always you can mix in a little of other shades to vary it but it is pretty good straight from the tin.
RMweb Premium M.I.B Posted June 24, 2011 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted June 24, 2011 That's one which I didn't consider. Thanks for the tip. Will mix with a litle 67 "Tank grey" - also used for GWR freight vehs

RMweb Premium M.I.B Posted July 17, 2011 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted July 17, 2011 After this info, I mixed up a few small batches - Humbrol 79 Blue Grey 50:50 with Humbrol 77 Navy Blue seems to be my preference.
