S.A.C Martin
I bought several copies of book.42 - which arrived today - to give out to my godson and other young relatives. The stories are wonderfully written by Christopher Awdry, and beautifully illustrated by Clive Spong. However I suspect - with great sadness - that the last two words of the book may spell the end of an era today. If this is the end of The Railway Series, then it has gone out on a wonderful high, with a top notch book that everyone - from children to parents - will enjoy. Well done Christopher Awdry (but say it's not so!)

number6
Sammy the Shunter sounds like someone from chugga chugga chugga Chuggington which I have to admit to a fondness for! Third thread maybe... Saw the Rev at Central Halls more than one year early 70s - maybe 74/5? - with a rabbit warren type narrow gauge layout.
