Could I design a layout to fit on top of the drawer unit I got from IKEA years ago. It measures 800 x 280mm. A sector plate allows more use of the area. Releases & sector plate are set at 225mm, enough for a shunter and wagon (max 57xx and grampus). The loop is enough for a couple of short wheelbase wagons. Turnouts are a mixture. I have an older version of Templot so the loop turnout is actually a Y. Likewise the 3 way. It is really to be used as an extended test track at home but you could take it to an exhibition and the drawers could house the stock. Various sheds and buildings could act as scenic breaks. I don't know if I'll actually build it, but it does show what you can do. With my stock, I could run 57xx, 1366, 03, 08 & Ruston and lots of clay wagons.
