Afternoon all,

Been reviewing my flickr output and realised I've still got around 60 shots taken on road trips from March '08 onwards, plus a few of D1015 on Tour in The Duchy.... I know Cornwall has lost a lot of the old infrastructure but what remains still exudes GWR / WR in spades... anyway, hope some folk find them of use for future prijects ;)

(mixed in with other West Country stuff)

Interesting stuff in there Nidge but Paddington Departure 'box didn't have a panel, it had a 'lever frame' (actually 'pistol grip' slides) and the 'Up Platform Starter' at Liskeard is - hoping it is correctly named - the Up Inner Home Signal (it's in rear of the signalbox so on the Western that made it a Home Signal unless it was a Bay Starterwink.gif).

Thanks Mike - I've realised what you meant by the 'pistol grip' lever frame... I've seen footage of a 'box somewhere that was similar on the (LMR somewhere IIRC).

There was an old hand at Old Oak in the early 80s ('Gunner' Williams) who used to call all the stop arms from Exeter to Westbury 'homezez', he'd say it was because when they were off you knew were going home!

;)
