Ian Allen
Hi Everyone, Does anyone know where I can get hold of a Kingbright white SMD LED AA3021VWD1S (3mm x 2mm x 1.3mm) ? I have tried most of the recognised suppliers to no avail, the only one I can find is based in the USA and has a minimum order of 2000 ! Ian
corax67
I have trawled the net but the minimum I can find is in multiples of 1000 - Does it have to be this specific LED or would a similar package/output device be acceptable? There are a wide range of similar style LEDs available from Rapid Elelctronics and Farnell too http://www.rapidonline.com/ http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/home/homepage.jsp?CMP=KNC-GUK-FUK-GEN-PFB&s_kwcid=TC|13123|farnell%20electronics||S|e|8275658109
Ian Allen
Hi Karl, SImilar problem I have encountered too, although this particular LED is over 12 years old. It is used on a signal gantry to light a calling on disc, of which there are 3 others. The signal gantry itself has two of these plus two 3 aspect colour lights. Strangely, that since the signal was damaged by being knocked over and having the 8 pin DIL socket broken, 2 red and 1 yellow LED ceased to function too. corax67
Is it definitely the LED that has died or could it possibly be the plug at fault? Other option is a substitute LED of a more modern model in a similar case style.
