Selah (Fruit Row) remembered

I photographed this at the Newcastle show - it sticks very clearly in my mind.  I'll see if I can find the pictures.  I did think I'd posted them at the time but I can't find them on the old forum.

 

It'd be good to see them, Newcastle was one of the first bookings but the last time the whole layout was together. I think Jon Grant posted some photos to Trainorders, with the usual reply saying how surprised they were to know someone from the UK had even heard of the YVT...

Thankyou for posting the photos, Jonathan. Newcastle 2007 was the last time the whole layout was together.

 

Today markes the 100th Anniversary of the opening of the line to Selah, and will be celebrated later with a re-enactment of this first run (abeit using a generator car as the replacement wiring project is behind schedule). So here are a few photos of the real location:
