jwealleans
I photographed this at the Newcastle show - it sticks very clearly in my mind. I'll see if I can find the pictures. I did think I'd posted them at the time but I can't find them on the old forum.
298
I photographed this at the Newcastle show - it sticks very clearly in my mind. I'll see if I can find the pictures. I did think I'd posted them at the time but I can't find them on the old forum. It'd be good to see them, Newcastle was one of the first bookings but the last time the whole layout was together. I think Jon Grant posted some photos to Trainorders, with the usual reply saying how surprised they were to know someone from the UK had even heard of the YVT... jwealleans
Not as many as I remembered, unless I've managed to lose some. I don't seem to have any of the locos which surprises me as I remember them very well. These are the uncropped original shots.
298
Thankyou for posting the photos, Jonathan. Newcastle 2007 was the last time the whole layout was together. Today markes the 100th Anniversary of the opening of the line to Selah, and will be celebrated later with a re-enactment of this first run (abeit using a generator car as the replacement wiring project is behind schedule). So here are a few photos of the real location: 19 at the Yakima Carbarn before the first run of the day: 19 at the end of the line in Selah: The new Selah waiting shelter: The rock crusher in the Selah Gap: Looking down the Selah Gap towards Yakima: 19 Crossing Yakima Avenue: The Naches River bridge: Welcome to Selah:
