Croydon Tramlink model CR4000 & Depot

In the British Railway Modelling mag August edition (but not Septembers?) was an advert (page 118) for a R-T-R model of a Croydon Tramlink Type CR4000. Details, such as they are can be found at https://www.facebook.com/CroydonTram

Appearances suggest that this model originates from Leopold Halling, who were responsible for the Manchester Metrolink model commissioned by East Lancs Model Tramway supplies.

Quote".. the dimensions of the depot will be 340mm width and 690mm depth 120mm tall" This, which seems to be to scale sounds rather ambitious as it would dwarf Bachmann's Four-road loco shed!

The LT Museum / Halling model is actually HO scale so the dimsensions of the CR4000 would be 346mm long, 30.4mm wide, 42.2mm high (rail to roof), contact wire should be nominal 78mm.

Those dimensions therefore would not be unreasonable for a 6 road depot holding 2 cars per road...

Hello

We overheard you discussing our product range the tram model is partly manufactured by Leopard Halling whilst the rest is finished off in the UK it is a completely reengineered model all accessories are made by us in the UK this model will be launching soon.

The Depot will be released before the tram and has a metal frame making it strong if we're successful we will release a new range of trams made completely in the UK as well as additional running numbers and liveries of the CR4000 Croydon Tram all design work is carried out by us.
