Roy P
In the British Railway Modelling mag August edition (but not Septembers?) was an advert (page 118) for a R-T-R model of a Croydon Tramlink Type CR4000. Details, such as they are can be found at https://www.facebook.com/CroydonTram Appearances suggest that this model originates from Leopold Halling, who were responsible for the Manchester Metrolink model commissioned by East Lancs Model Tramway supplies. Quote".. the dimensions of the depot will be 340mm width and 690mm depth 120mm tall" This, which seems to be to scale sounds rather ambitious as it would dwarf Bachmann's Four-road loco shed! tomstaf
Is it another run of the ones that the London Transport Museum commissioned a few years ago (http://www.southernelectric.org.uk/modelling/modnews2a.html)? Tom
PLD
Quote".. the dimensions of the depot will be 340mm width and 690mm depth 120mm tall" This, which seems to be to scale sounds rather ambitious as it would dwarf Bachmann's Four-road loco shed! The LT Museum / Halling model is actually HO scale so the dimsensions of the CR4000 would be 346mm long, 30.4mm wide, 42.2mm high (rail to roof), contact wire should be nominal 78mm. Those dimensions therefore would not be unreasonable for a 6 road depot holding 2 cars per road...
MikeTrice
And of course the livery is no longer current! To be honest, I quite liked the original livery.
