cp409067 Posted August 28, 2011 Share Posted August 28, 2011 "Portpyn" exhibited at Sedan 8-9 October 2011 I shall be exhibiting my 1:34 scale (on 16.5mm track representing 2ft gauge) "Portpyn" layout at the RAMMA exhibition in Sedan (France) over the second weekend of October. The layout was built over a period of some seventeen months beginning in November 1992 and made its début at Narrow Gauge South on 26 March 1994. In the 1990's it featured in a number of articles in Railway Modeller (and more recently in the latest issue no 286 of the Dutch language Rail Magazine), enjoyed some popularity at a number of UK exhibitions, and will now be appearing in public for the second time this year. This will be only the third occasion that the layout has been seen outside the UK. The fourteenth bi-annual RAMMA(le Rendez-vous d’Automne des Modélistes et Maquettistes en Ardenne) exhibition is held at Sedan in north-eastern France, covers a variety of modelling disciplines, and will have a large hall devoted to railway modelling with (including this year Expometrque 2011) more than eighty layouts in a variety of scales expected from France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Britain. The exhibition venue is - Complexe Sportif Jean Rogissart, rue Rogissart, 08200, SEDAN, France. Opening times are 2.00pm – 7.00pm Saturday, and 10.00am – 5.30pm Sunday.
