br-nse-fan
Hi guys I used to know how to do this, and have not found my answer after searching the site for 20+ minutes... I've hard wired in some DCC decoders, and now the loco's run in reverse. I'm pretty sure it's CV29 that needs to be changed... and based on what the value currently is, it needs to be adjusted up or down by one. Could someone please rattle the nuts 'n bolts in my head a little, and point me in the right direction? Many thanks! Derek
Mod5
A quick search for CV29 brought up two threads. http://www.rmweb.co....__fromsearch__1 http://www.rmweb.co....__fromsearch__1 Perhaps they may help you. There are other threads about running backwards in there but you have to dig. Of course if you tell everyone what system you are using they may be able to hepl with specific information for that . For example with the NCE you can change direction without having to go into CV changes.

As for the system I am using, it is an MRC Prodigy Advance (Guagemaster) and all the decoders are either Digitrax or TCS. Thanks again, Derek
Brian
If you still have the bodies off the locos you could correct it by swapping over the Grey and Orange wires on the two motor terminals. As its likely these two wires were installed the wrong way around. Though its hard at times to tell that before testing on DCC. Equally and assuming the decoder is at default, adding the value of 1 (One) to whatever you read currently in CV29 will swap normal direction of travel. e.g. CV29 read value of 6. Making it 7 will reverse NDT

Making it 7 will reverse NDT swapping the wires over to the motor is the correction IF the lights are wrong too. if the lights are correct for direction of travel ( even though it is opposite to what you expect ) then use Cv29 to sort it. i suppose you couls also swap the white and yellow wires around aswell as the grey and orange but Cv29 is the better option.
