musky
Hi. I need some advise on how to fix the replacement wasp sripes on my Bachman shunter,The strip that goes mid way across the back of the cab end looks as though it would difficult to wrap the transfer around, would using a fixing agent be any use or should I cut the transfer in two halves ie top and bottom and just touch in the strip with paint? Any ideas would be much appreciated. Regards. Bill
RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted September 1, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 1, 2011 You will need to cut the transfer as the striping continues "through" the horizontal strip, wrapping over it will spoil the flow. I use lashings of Microsol and Microset which helps it settle over rivet detail and not obliterate it. Also, don't be afraid of cutting the transfers up into as many pieces as you need to, it will all align again, and any misplacements or gaps can be touched up with paint.
