RMweb Gold DaveF Posted September 9, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 9, 2011 I've just put a set of photos of the route from Darlington Bank top to Eastgate (Weardale) on my flickr site. Most were taken on the "North Briton" dmu railtour in May 1987, some are from May 1975 from a trip Dad went on organised by Ken Hoole and the NERA as part of the Stockton and Darlington 150 celebrations. They are at: http://www.flickr.co...57626192203459/ There are also a few from other dates. Note: None of them are from the preservation era, nor did I ever photograph the cement workings! There are also a few others of lines, both open and long abandoned in the area. One day I'll put a set of the Stockton and Darlington Railway as it was in 1975 on flickr, when I get time. Meanwhile I hope you will like these 3 samples below. David
Mike W
Great pictures. Being from Stockton originally, I'd love to see the Stockton & Darlington set.
