relaxinghobby
This small industrial layout must be a signalling block so it needs a signal box, here is an American switching tower I found in the sales scrap box at an exhibition. Does it fit in with the urban built-up feel or is it too big and close to that chimney, is it realistically placed or should I put in a smaller box? RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted September 22, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 22, 2011 Unlikely to be a signal box controlling industrial sidings, some lines had them but the vast majority didn't, additionally it's a big (tall) structure for a simple layout, more likely to be a simple hut if one was provided,
relaxinghobby
Perhaps I should try a small lever cabin or even just some exposed levers?
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted September 28, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 28, 2011 Perhaps I should try a small lever cabin or even just some exposed levers? Ideally it should just be handlevers, lever frames in sidings like those slow down the work and push up the costs .
