Spent Saturday morning at the Kew Bridge Steam Museum attending the Festival of Model Tramways. Had to queue for 3o minutes to get in and, once in, headed straight to the cafe for an excellent all-day breakfast. Once fortified it was time to take some pics of the many great layouts present.

Started off at "Crickey" by P.Boyt - and end-to-end street scene with turntable at one one end. A large number of UK and continental trams were making their way along the street:

Next was a visit to Stepley Tramways by S & M Whiteley. Have seen this layout at a number of shows and always like watching the trams in their distinctive orange livery:

Mark,

Was good meeting and talking to you. Have uploaded a few more pictures. First up is one that you should recognise:

Unfortunately my pictures of Grime Street were a complete and utter failure - the trams were going too fast and all I got were blurred images of trams speeding along Grime Street  .

On Uxbridge Road by Clive Croome there was a superb high detailed model of a Feltham Tram:

Out in the Tramway Marquee were the big boys on Simon Coles Tramway Arms ably assisted by TLRS Sussex Area Group members:

Hi all,

Does anyone know of anything in print by Clive Croome? I've tried Googling, but apart from these entries on RM Web, and a review of 2011 exhibition at Kew, in which he gets a tantalisingly brief mention, nothing! I would love to learn more about his P4 trams.

Ian

Can't really give you a load of info, as I was a bit busy at Kew and didn't really get chance to speak to loads of people that I wanted to, but have a look at 3.46 on this video of the festival

I think the track may be Proto 87 stores easy street which you can lay at 18.83 I believe, but I'm only guessing after a quick look rather than know.
