rsv1000r Posted September 29, 2011 Share Posted September 29, 2011 the yard to the left is the former whitlingham station goods yard, which in later years became a blue circle cement depot, before final closure, I rowed down at whitlingham for my school in the late seventies, at this time the former station footbridge as well as the box were still in situ all though the timber station platforms were long gone. Tim Horn Posted September 29, 2011 Share Posted September 29, 2011 Nice shot Tim, I think, as you say, the box was replaced by a piece of flat ground I've always fancied a signal box in the garden, make a nice modelling room if one had the space and the money for transport, I do hope the others along the Breckland line will be saved if practical to move them.
