D605Eagle
I have a couple of coupling rods definitely made by Triang, or later and I really need to identify what loco they came off. As best as I can measure the spacing is 26mm x 26mm or 1 1/32" x 1 1/32" in old money. They are considerably shorter than the Jinty ones. Any help would be much appreciated Cheers Jim
naugytrax
That would fit the Triang-Hornby Britannia, which is a bit short in the fixed wheelbase. My R.552 is definitely 26 mm + 26 mm. (4 mm scale would be 28 + 28 mm.)
Wayne Rite
I think you are right, as I have a Scotsman/ B12 / Hall / King Arthur chassis here that has 28 x 28mm centres, the early brittania and princess had quite short coupling rods, I know I've got dozens of them!
