RMweb Gold rodent279 Posted October 24, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 24, 2011 afternoon all, The large ejector pipe moulding along the rh Suisse of my Airfix Castle has melted off (don't ask......). The ejector itself is still pretty much intact on the firebox, but most of the pipe has gone. Any suggestions on replacing the pipe? I was thinking about a piece of plastic pipe glued onto the ejector. Unless someone happens to have a spare pipe? Cheers N

RMweb Gold rodent279 Posted October 24, 2011 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 24, 2011 Ah well........it derailed in such a way as to cause the handrail to short the rails. I wasn't in the room , and by the time I got back and switched off, the handrail had heated up enough to melt the plastic....... I was using an old H&M controller with a crude internal bimetallic cut-off and it just didn't kick in quick enough.
