muddys-blues
Hi I am making up my Nuclear Flask train with 2 x RNA barriar wagons, these are ex Bachmann HEA's with the Genesis Kits conversion parts, now I have seen 2 different liveries for these wagons plain black & Coal Sector livery. I am looking at possibly doing the coal Sector version but I would like to find out when this livery appeared on this wagon. I have linked one of Paul Bartlett's picture links from the FNA thread for reference, should I have contravened any copyright rules then Mods please do not hesitate to remove the link and tell me off. http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/brrna Thanking you in anticipation Craig. mjkerr
From what I can work out If the body is intact (ie HEA) then it would have coal sector symbols If the body has been removed (frame only) then it would be plain black It would appear this livery was applied from 1987 to 1992 TransRail then applied their logos thereafter
hmrspaul
Not sure why my site is being quoted. The cut down RNA on my site have sector branding http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/brrna it is the unconverted that are not branded. Mark Saunders
Three of the tall RNA barriers were the former MEB conversions done at Cathays as a trial for replacing the MDV's in South Wales. These three were in Coal sector livery. One became a MGA for a while as trials for Gypsum. Mark Saunders
