RMweb Premium 45156 Posted November 23, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 23, 2011 As some of you know, I work in a call centre working with Broadband, and have been alerted to yet another phishing scam - anybody out there with a BT Internet account, it is yet another of these scams - note the spellings, grammar, and differing fonts, which give it away - however, there are some customers who have, I believe, fallen for this one. oggy1953
They keep trying don't they. NEVER give personal details in answer to ANY e-mails is the usual advice. If they want the info then let them write and you can then contact THEM through the correct channels.
Catkins
I'm suprised at how many bank accounts I have that keep getting "compromised" - I nearly always delete them. The only ones I forward are ones from the taxman - and those go to phishing@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk and I got that address from a tax office in Maidstone.
