D1030western musketeer
Although i have posted in the past i have not been able to show progress pics due to not being able to upload them here but can be seen on you tube under D1011thunderer for those that are interested. Updates to date are although hard times befell me on losing my job in october i did manage to find something else for the time being which did put the layout at risk. The loco fleet as steadly grown and for the record heres the currant loco fleet that resides at old oak. 31296/33109/7017 hymek/37035/37406/37415/37709/warships 821/832/47079gwr/47474/47484gwr/47535/47612/47701/47711/50007gwr/50018/50021/50024/50031/50033/50035/50036/50037 50030/50044/50045/50046/50050/westerns/1015/1023/1062/55015 and blue peter steam loco. The layout is dc although 37415/1015/50031/50035/50037 are fitted with sound. Most stock is made up of parcels/mk1nse/mk2nse/mk2d intercitys and a little railfreight and oil tanks. The main area is based around the turntable and all buildings and scenery are scratchbuilt with the main shed being the diesel fueling one. Most stock is stabled in ecs holding areas but the layout has a mainline double track outer loop as to stretch the locos legs. Hope you take a peek and see what you think. Please note since some of the photos shown the track layout has been changed slightly. richard.

D1030western musketeer
Thanks for comments guys. Old oak common has a specail place in my youth years my 1st visit in 1975 seeing the last 11 hymeks and a many a time seeing the 52s in there last years. I did thou decide to model it in the colourfull nse years with 50s in various liverys as with the 47s. The hydraulics are used for open days and are passed mainline runners for specails and thunderbird parcel duties. Blue Peter is included as see her there in 2000 open day. The depot will be sadly missed and have happy memories of it. Someone asked for more pics so here are some more taking a few months ago. richard. D1030western musketeer
For those that are interested features of the layout include. Main old oak turntable fully working wene it wants 2. Main diesel fuelling shed. Ecs yards including wash plant. Main span road bridge london end. Static cross london freight line bridge. The flats at the back of the turntable. Boiler housing. 2 water towers, and various depot buildings. A part of the canal although maybe revised. Old oak signal box. All colour light signals are scratchbuilt and working. Tower lights around the depot that light up. Please note due to space restrictions the main A shed could not be added and the trackplan is fictisious although around the depot have tried to model as close to. Richard.
