RMweb Gold Savoyard Posted January 17, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 17, 2012 Not sure I should come this year as last year was an expensive visit as I ended up agreeing to buy Holcombe Brook and Totottington! All being well I hope to be there on Saturday. Good Luck with the show. Peter

birdseyecircus
Just got back from a super show. Something for everyone! Despite being a diesel lover, what stole the show for me was the world war 1 layout 'behind the front line'. Brilliant detailing on a sad part of our history. As is usual lots of things to buy with very little to spend!! Paul
RANGERS
Impressive show, well worth the trip and thankfully economical, nothing much to tempt me!
eastwestdivide
To echo the above comments, a really good variety of layouts, some pretty unusual, like the WWI one above, the self-running Swiss one with a marmot, German and US timber lines nearly backing onto one another, and some a bit more mainstream like Kirkby Stephen, with the rivet-counter detector van in operation, and some good early diesel prototypes (in the northern "Fells" I suppose). Good fruitcake in the cafe too. Big thanks to the organisers.
