Guest 40-something
Superb work. I hope your repainted LMS Black 5 appears sometime too! I still haven't worked out how to fit the smokebox darts to mine! Rob Thanks Rob The Black Five is painted and weathered, although the dog licked it last night. Result, one clean patched loco and a weathered dog tongue! I havent sourced a dart for it yet, they are quite easy to fit, just drill a hole (if needed) in the centre of the smokebox door and glue the bits in! Guest 40-something
A couple more loco's done.. Bachmann Jubilee renamed and renumbered 45629 "Straits Settlements". The yellow cabside stripes have been added to represent a loco banned from operating under the wires, and the loco has been weathered slightly. Hornby Black 5, resprayed & renumbered 45018. Unlined black livery as worn by the prototype in 1965. Standard Hornby loco weathered. Thanks for looking
Guest 40-something
A few more pics, diesels this time... Class 20 D8085. The yellow nose end wrap around has been narrowed as per early blue repaints. Class 24 5072. I added full yellow ends to this loco, and fitted the underframe moulding from a blue 24 Class 25 D7580. The full yellow ends were added and the lower bodyside stripe repainted green as an Economy Green repaint Class 26 5333. I modded the springs on the bogies, moving them inboard as they should be. Class 27 5389. I started this before Heljan announced their version, typical!!! The bogie models were done as the Class 26. That is most of my stock now done, I have a few parcels vans and a couple of wagons to do and thats it for just now I think! Thanks for looking
Eric & Gripper
Nice work and very consistent. I do tend to think the weathering eye is like a signature. All your beautiful work has a certain look which follows through model to model. I particularly like you 26.27,9f and your van stock. Keep up the excellent work and lets see some more soon. warmest regards Eric & Gripper.
