long island jack
Trevor some nice looking buildings, with a bit of light weathering they should fit on the layout quiet nicely ray
RMweb Gold Tony_S Posted January 6, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 6, 2012 When I posted earlier I couldn't recall where I'd seen them for sale in the UK. It was Modeljunction. The Phillips Beach kit retails for slightly over £80 now.
highpeak
The signal tower is a good match for some of the MEC's towers, very close to Towers 1 and 2 at Rigby. Bear in mind though that most outposts on the MEC would not rate a signal tower, the operator would make do with space in the depot. Of course, modeler's license can always be invoked in the case of a nice looking structure! BEST makes some nice kits, including the ball signal and related buildings from Whitefield, NH. The train order signals look a little stout on those models though, and I wonder if the builder had to replace them because the BEST pictures look OK. Here's the base of a disused train order signal on the depot at Damariscotta.
shortliner
Well you did well there, Trev - Not a great fan of churches on layouts ( cliches?), but that one is both nice and different.
sunshine coast
Thanks for the replies chaps .... I do have a reasonable sized yard ....so the signal tower will be fitted in there when the scenics get done (not even ballasted at the moment)........the others will be featured somewhere !!!..... also got a nice small curved trestle ...which I will show later ... the rolling stock and locos that they were in with was a right odd mix of roads..East,West,North & South .......so the buildings were a pleasant surprise ..!
