I have a few of the MRC sound decoders fitted to various kato locos and they are impressive given their size. Still wont get much base but nevertheless pretty good (and much easier to programme than their HO decoders fitted in Athearn locos). I have an MRC sound decoder board fitted in my Kato P42 and F40PH's and they are a bit louder than the narrow hoods due to a bit more space in them. Digitrains often have MRC sound decoders in stock.
