Xerces Fobe2
I have just come across this small trader Peter Roger Models who specialise in producing "Museum Quality Gauge 0 and Gauge 1 rolling stock" These models include Oerlikon & LMS Compartment Stock EMU's, hence why this supplier got my attention. I have spoken with Peter and he has agreed to attend the Thames Valley Model Rail Expo on May 19th this year. XF
Rambler
According to Volume 3 of David Jenkinson's LMS Standard Coaching Stock, the LMS compartment stock had GEC electrical equipment (which was based on the Oerlikon equipment in the LNWR stock). The LNWR Oerlikon stock had open saloons, and an unusual low elliptical roof profile. I know its unusual because I have a part-built set of test etches, without roofs, for the 4mm kit that is now (sometimes) available from London Road Models. Nice looking models all the same! Eric Ramsay Hi Eric, I spotted the error too and have sent an e-mail to Peter. I also have a part built London Road Models Oerlikon EMU and modelling the roofs has been a bit of a challange! Eric Ramsay Eric, the Oerlikon etches are available, albeit to special order. That means that they usually have to ordered from the etchers, with a lead time of 3 - 6 weeks.
