welsh wizard
Just a quick question, do they have such things as portakabins in the USA ? been trawling thru my books and magazines and cant seem to find any evidence that they do ? I was going to use the Bachmann stacked ones on my layout but suddenly thought" do they have these in the states" ? or an equivalent ?? over to you lot for the answer ! Merv from a cloudy south Wales coast......
Ian Holmes
Portakabin is a registered trademark in the UK, probably one reason why a search for Portakabin won't pull up any US finds . If you do a google search for "portable office buildings" you'll come up trumps
Adrian Wintle
Stacked Portakabins are quite rare. What you usually get is office trailers (think of a mobile home/caravan crossed with an industrial building). examples: http://www.millerofficetrailers.com/ http://www.atcosl.com/en-ca/Products-and-Services/Solution/Office-Trailers.htm Adrian

trisonic
Reminds me of the recent Julian Andrews layout in CM "Yard 6" I don't think I saw this layout (I've stopped buying British Magazines because they have become something of a rip off over here). Do you have any links to it? Thanks, Jack, Pete.
shortliner
Pete - I don't think there are any - I haven't seen it anywhere except in the magazine - although I think Julian had sold it on, before it was published, to a friend in the Poole area. I'll try to draw a trackplan for you and send it direct
