RMweb Gold 46444 Posted December 7, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 7, 2009 Hi there, One of my favourite locos is the GWR Manor Class. I'm quite tempted to detail an old Bachmann Manor but as far as I can remember the chimney on the moulding is for the earlier GWR version. Do any of the accessory/detailing manufacturers produce chimney for the Manor in BR days? Thanks, Mark

Andy M
Mark, Another manufacturer you could try is DMR Products of Truro. Although they do not have a website, Mike periodically attends exhibitions and does mail order. I have used his turned brass chimneys many times and can testify their quality and accuracy. I guess you are after the later style elliptical shaped chimney that most of the class ran with at the end, but be aware that there were two slightly different types of this style (one slightly less dished), as well as the earlier stockier parallel type. As always work from a photo of your chosen prototype and Peto's Register on the class is a useful resource if you don't already have a copy. Hope this helps and PM me if you can't find DMR's address, which I can dig out for you. Regards, Andy.
