witherbrow
not a question just a tip i found out last night whilst building a spitfire kit; revell have there precision polystyrene which has a pin for the glue to flow through, well yesterday mine blocked up - however ive found a handy solution - take the pin out an run a flame (i used a lighter) along the blocked bit - after a few seconds you'll get a bit of smoke and smell but a completely unblocked pin for you glue just thought id share my discovery
RMweb Gold Nickey Line Posted February 6, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 6, 2012 Maybe, but whatever else you do DO NOT INHALE!
Rods_of_Revolution
If you store the pot upright, with the lid on, at room temperature, and use it frequently they don't tend to block up. You can actually take the tube out after use and blow (never suck ) the remaining glue out. Cheers, Jack

Redsrail
Another way of unblocking these which involves no flame or smell is catgut (fishing line), its thin and rigid enough to do the job

JeffP
We used to apply a line of the old Airfix glue to our faces, wait until it was nearly dry, then pinch the skin over it along the line, holding the edges together. Voila: a perfect scar. Got into bother doing it one day at Grammar school.
Il Grifone
I must try the heat idea - mine is bunged up at the moment! I'll remove the tube first though. I've used fine wire in the past - a PITA.
