PenrithBeacon
I visited the KWVR over the weekend of 10th to 12th of February. Unfortunately though, I fell in the icy conditions twice and hurt my back and shoulder. As a consequence of this I decided that perhaps it wasn’t for me and so I went to Windermere to photograph the ex-Furness railway steamers on the Saturday and the NRM, a very busy NRM, on the Sunday. My film of the KWVR on Friday can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jceKeyYrCkE&feature=youtu.be and the photos of the Lakeside terminus on Flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photos/68685377@N04/sets/72157629318813233/ while the shots at the NRM are at http://www.flickr.com/photos/68685377@N04/sets/72157629319334279/ I hope everyone enjoys them and the should is still giving me gyp! Ohmisterporter
Very enjoyable as usual David. Hope you are soon back to normal. Having said that you take better pics injured than I do fully fit. You do seem to have a good eye. Get well soon.

craigwelsh
Hadn't realised the Coal Tank was finished and running again, especially paired up with the Super D in my favourite non GWR S.Wales pairing .
coachmann
Enjoyed your latest K&WVR video, as usual. I too didnt realize the Coal Tank and Super D were being paired. I won't mention that they are both at Llangllen this years otherwise the place will be too crowded.....! Having watched Cams and Roundabouts videos of the final run in South Wales, I am rally looking forward to this being recreated. I'm nott going to corect any more of my speeling mistteeks. Torn-on-the-platform
Fantastic video, though a shame to hear about your fall! Whilst it is fantastic to see all of those engines running (particularly the ivatt for me!), I feel I must point out the fantastic array of carriages on show in this video too! Michael Delamar
is the coal tank to remain in BR livery for its trip to Llangollen?
Black Sheep
not seen a boat on the slipway at lakeside before! I'm hoping to one day model lakeside station in N or perhaps 2mm, got the templot in 2mm somewhere but didn't feel confident or have the space at the time. If I do, it'll be late 40's / early 50's, most likely late 40's as my stock is LMS

Hmm that's S4 North and Taunton members day/modellers under 30 get very drunk weekends . I'd really like to get to the LLangollen one day too! The prices for tickets are very reasonable too, but given that and the 'Tornado Effect' it's likely to be very crowded; see http://www.6880.co.uk/6880-shop/sss3-tickets for prices. edward66
Great day out at the K&WVR winter gala, great to see the Coal Tank and Super D in tandem too. I noticed that now the Super D has built up some mileage it is beginning to sound like one, that characteristic "clanking" is now evident, no "wheezing " yet though. I often wonder why ex-LNWR locos managed to escape having a smokebox number plate in BR days, there has to be a reason. Edward
