If you want to go for a solid conductor then 1.5mm2 is probably the smallest I would use. Just strip off the outer grey sheathing and use the two insulated inner conductors. Thanks again for the information, I have ordered the recommended 32/02 wire . all i have to do now is finalise the layout (ive changed it three times in as many weeks ) then start to solder. This removes all reliance on the metal rail joiners (Fishplates) passing power (and data too for the DCC user) rail to rail. Always fit a pair of droppers to every points outer stock rails too. That's a lot of droppers, but i do understand the reasoning. Thank you all again for your patience and understanding, i know to some, ive asked some dumb questions ,I was always told, if you dont know , you ask.
