trisonic Posted March 18, 2012 Author Share Posted March 18, 2012 Phil, A couple of winter's ago on one of the bridges crossing the Hudson River NS (it may have been CSX, I can't find the reference in RailPace now) they parked a train of full coal hoppers on the windward track to act as a windbreak during gusts of up to 70mph.
